Woman found dead in Gwinnett Place Mall identified as 19-year-ol

The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office said she was dead for almost two weeks before authorities found her. Man was first reported missing October 8 by a family member, after which she returned home.

According to the New York Post, Silling A. Man, a student at Georgia State University, was discovered on December 21 in a vacant Subway restaurant at Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth, outside of Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

She was previously reported missing on October 8 before returning home when an investigator took on the case. Two days after her return, the police officials removed her name from the missing persons' list. She was dressed in a black, mesh-style jumpsuit, police said.

Footage of the rescue showed parts of the Sanchi still aflame, its hull and superstructure completely stripped of paint. Rescuers stayed aboard less than 30 minutes but were able to recover the ship's data and video recordings, it said.

Family members said they had not had any contact with her since her second disappearance, and investigators uncovered that she visited her previous place of employment at the Perimeter Mall to pick up her last paycheck around November 20. She had not enrolled for the spring semester.

The mall is a shell of what it used to be, but still, shoppers can't believe a body could lie in a mall back room for up to two weeks without anyone noticing. Man, who was a sophomore at Georgia State University, was enrolled in the Fall 2017 classes as a psychology major.

There were no surveillance cameras in the mall corridors at the time, police said. "We are waiting on toxicology, we are waiting to figuring out a little more about her history before we can figure out how this investigation is going to wind up".
