A MI man was arrested for threatening to come to CNN's Atlanta headquarters and murder employees, according to a CBS46 report. "I am on my way right now to gun the f - kin' CNN cast down".

Brandon Griesemer badgered the cable news network with almost two dozen profanity-laced rants from January 9 and 10 vowing to make the 730 mile trek to Georgia to kill their employees, according to criminal complaint filed Friday in the Eastern District of MI. "We have been in touch with local and federal law enforcement throughout, and have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our people", CNN said Monday in a statement.

Griesemer was already on the radar of law-enforcement officials after he called in threats to a mosque in Ann Arbor, Michigan, last September. "I'm coming to weapon all of you down". His mother told the police her son had called the mosque, the affidavit said.

A recent incident involving CNN's office in Atlanta, Georgia, just demonstrated the - potentially fatal - dangers of the president's "fake news" rhetoric. In a call to Ann Arbor police later the same day, Griesemer admitted to making the call and said "he was angry at the time", the affidavit said. "I'm coming to gun you all down", he reportedly said. The calls began with Griesemer berating the news network as "fake news" and escalated to threats of mass murder.

Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said Greisemer used the same number to call the CNN headquarters, according to the affidavit.

Three minutes later, he called CNN back from the same number and said: "I am on my way right now to gun the fuckin' CNN cast down".
