3.8 billion miles! New Horizons spacecraft sends pictures from farthest vantage point

The Voyager was 3.75 billion miles from Earth when that composite of 60 images looking back at the solar system was taken, and it's cameras were shut off shortly after.

This record was previously held by NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft which took snapshots of the famous "Pale Blue Dot" from a distance of nearly 3.75 billion miles away from earth.

Along the way, New Horizons broke the record for the farthest image captured away from our home planet.

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft has turned its telescopic camera toward a field of stars - and made history. Another picture taken by LORRI consists of two objects in the Kuiper belt.

Unfortunately, Capcom says that players who created a Squad and were affected by this will have lost any Squad data. Players can still use any remaining extra Slashberries if they now have more than 30 in their item pouch.

Most of the time, New Horizons is sleeping - hibernating, to save energy.

New Horizons also discovered traces of water ice in certain regions of the dwarf planet. "The tour moves north past the rugged and fractured highlands of Voyager Terra and then turns southward over Pioneer Terra - which exhibits deep and wide pits - before concluding over the bladed terrain of Tartarus Dorsa in the far east of the encounter hemisphere".

"New Horizons has always been a mission of firsts - first to explore Pluto, first to explore the Kuiper Belt, fastest spacecraft ever launched", said New Horizons Principal Investigator Alan Stern of the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado.

New Horizons is slated to observe at least two dozen other objects in the Kuiper Belt, including dwarf planets and asteroid-like masses called Centaurs.

Eurostar Launches New London to Amsterdam Service
Eurostar is opening a direct high-speed train route between London and Amsterdam this spring, the rail company announced Friday . The Amsterdam - London service would not set down passengers at Brussels South with boarding only permitted at this station.

Two and a half years after becoming the first probe to study Pluto up close, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is gaining more fame for possessing the solar system's farthest-out camera in operation.

These December 2017 false-colour images of Kupier-Edgeworth Belt objects 2012 HZ84 (left) and 2012 HE85 are, for now, the farthest from Earth ever captured by a spacecraft. It'll be the first up-close look of a Kuiper Belt object. He further said that now they have been able to make images farther from Earth than any spacecraft in history.

New Horizons covers more than 1.1 million km of space each day (KBO). It's not just taking awesome photos on its path, but also carrying measurements of the plasma, dust and neutral-gas environment along the way, enabling astronomers to better understand the outskirts of our solar system.

Nasa has just released a number of stunning photos and videos of Pluto and its largest moon Charon, taken by the New Horizons probe during its historic flyby in 2015. When that happens, it will break the record again.
