Panjim: While calling for caution against "north Indians" who want to create "a Haryana in Goa", it's Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai said that "Domestic Tourists are the scum of the earth". So, we are much superior than the people who are coming in. Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Sunday said tourists who can not take care of Goa and its culture will be thrown out of the state.

"The tourists, who come here, should take care of Goa's culture and Goanness, otherwise I will chase them away", he said on Saturday evening at the inaugural function of the Food and Cultural Festival, organised by the state tourism department. "So there is a general feeling among the people of Goa, that we need to re-orient our tourism to what it was before", he said.

"Now we are dependent upon the north Indians and this is what they do".
