Source confirms: Yu Darvish to Cubs on six-year deal

Pitcher Yu Darvish has come to an agreement with the Chicago Cubs on a six-year, $126 million contract, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. This group of starting pitchers now ranks as arguably the top rotation in all of baseball, and several of them have what it takes to be the front man and toe the rubber on Opening Day. The deal will reportedly pay Darvish $126 million, and with incentives could go as high as $150 million, and will become official when the hurler undergoes his physical. He pitched better for the Dodgers after a midseason trade from the Rangers, but then he flamed out in the World Series.

Flags fly forever though and if the addition of Darvish can help the Cubs win their second title in three years, it'll be worth it.

Senate announces two-year budget deal but House could stall over Dreamers
The plan includes more than $7 billion in funding over two years for the nation's community health centers. The Washington Post slammed the bipartisan budget deal, saying the plan denies reality.

Now with three guaranteed years still left on Lester's contract, Epstein has jumped back into the free agent pool for some more starting pitching help, once again inking the most coveted starter in the market. They had more obvious connections to others, but they chose him, presumably the costliest of this offseason's free agent pitchers. Both the Dodgers and Yankees may have moved on Darvish sooner had those clubs not been concerned with exceeding the luxury tax threshold for this season.

Darvish was outstanding over the final two months of the regular season with the Dodgers, posting a 3.44 ERA and 11.1 strikeouts per nine innings. He made 17 starts in 2016 and 31 starts in 2017, when he was an All-Star.

With the departure of former Cub Jake Arrieta, the Cubs projected to enter 2018 with Mike Montgomery in the starting five.

Minnesota reportedly offered Darvish a contract, although the value is unknown at this point.

Idris Elba Is Engaged to Sabrina Dhowre!
The movie co-starred Kate Winslet and was about a man and a woman who get stranded in the wilderness after their plane crashes. Other attendees of the event shared their congratulations on social media , one even capturing the proposal on camera.

The gap between the Chicago Cubs and the rest of the NL Central just got that much bigger. Assuming he recovers from an apparent pitch-tipping issue which led to a pair of poor outings in the World Series, he should be a dominant pitcher in Chicago.
