A seven-foot portrait of former chief minister and late leader of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam J Jayalalithaa was unveiled in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Monday.

As everybody knows, Jayalalithaa was the prime accused in the disproportionate assets case in which the Supreme Court convicted all the accused (after her death).

Mr Palaniswami also said steps were on to erect a grand memorial for her.
