Users are increasingly moving to Snapchat, where it is predicted that 43% of British teenagers will log in over the course of 2018 - more than double the numbers in 2015.

In 2018, 2.2 million individuals ages 12 to 17, or 71 percent of social network users in this age bracket, will be using Facebook regularly, this represents a downgrade of eight percent over eMarketer's earlier forecast. eMarketer also reduced its estimates for Facebook usage among 18- to 24-year-olds by more than five percent. Unlike in previous years, when the site managed to hang onto younger users via Instagram, it now seems to be losing serious ground to Snapchat. Teens and young adults are ditching Mark Zuckerberg's social network as popularity among the over-55s surges, according to a report.
