Google may rebrand struggling Android Wear as 'Wear OS'

In a bid to make it better and perhaps more attractive to vendors, the search giant is reportedly planning some changes to the wearable OS.

Android Wear is known by many to be Google's operating system for smartwatches. For example the Nexus lineup of smartphones and tablets were eventually rebranded into the Pixel handsets, and the same for its laptops as well where it now uses the Pixel branding for essentially the same concept. In the case of Android Wear, you'll be notified that there's a watch nearby that can be paired with your phone. There are entirely too many ways that Google Lens now available on the mass-based Android can be misused, and it is the company's responsibility to ensure they start taking measures to avoid that from happening. WhatsApp Messages Can Now Be Deleted An Hour After Posting
With this, iPhone and iPad (LTE) users will be able to delete unintended messages from group chats after more than an hour. WhatsApp's recently introduced "Delete for Everyone" feature has now submitted a new update to the Apple App Store.

Developers exploring the latest Android P Developer Preview have also noticed that the usual watch-like logo has been replaced with a distinctive "W" and the announcement suggestively could happen by the time Android P is released - if not by the Google I/O conference in May. A notification displayed by the app directly referenced "Wear OS" and displayed a new logo for the platform.

For a while now, it has been possible to pair an Android smartwatch with an iOS device.

City managed to win back in December, but the return match is yet to be played, as well as the match against Arsenal. Bottom club West Bromwich Albion took an early lead against Leicester before eventually losing 4-1 at the Hawthorns.

Rebranding Android Wear would no doubt help put the focus back on Google's smartwatch platform. With this change of name, Google is hopeful that consumers will no longer think of their smartwatches as devices that are only compatible with other Android devices.
