Frances McDormand really set Hollywood's talking point for the next year when she ended her best actress acceptance speech at this year's Oscars with these two words: "inclusion rider".

Colleague Fanshen Cox DiGiovanni confirmed the news on Twitter as she thanked Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan for adopting the rider on his production company, Putlier Society Productions. The term reached wide public consciousness earlier this month at the 90th Academy Awards, when best-actress victor Frances McDormand noted it in her acceptance speech.

The move comes just over a week after McDormand urged other actors to ask for inclusion riders as a way to ensure gender and racial diversity in films.

With American Idol now on America's network, ABC , it was time to get things started with the American Idol 2018 auditions. He gave the performance his all, but the judges decided not to send him on to Hollywood for the next round of competition.

Jordan recently announced he would adopt the inclusion rider on all projects he produces.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have promised to introduce inclusion riders into movie contracts for their Pearl Street Films production company.

At the Oscars, the Best Actress victor made headlines (and got a lot of people Googling) when she ended her acceptance speech with two words: "inclusion rider".

Fanshen Cox DiGiovanni made the announcement on Monday night via Twitter at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

"For those of you asking about the #InclusionRider, it's created to ensure equitable hiring in supportive roles for women, POC, the LGBT community, & people w/disabilities", the tweet said.

The reduction came as gross short positions on the New York Mercantile Exchange climbed to their highest level in almost a month. Brent for May settlement added 12 cents to $65.61 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.

The concept was developed by Dr Stacy Smith, with a clause requiring the cast and crew to be diverse in order to retain the actor.
