It appears that former WWE Champion and current UFC welterweight fighter CM Punk is preparing for his next MMA bout. It was a first round losing effort against Mickey Gall, who was only fighting for the third time in his MMA career.

"June [9], after I win and lock eyes with my attractive wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", he answered. Punk eventually joined Roufusport, alongside Anthony Pettis, Sergio Pettis, Ben Askren, and others, but did not make his debut until UFC 203 in 2016, over a year later.

All signs point to Phil "CM Punk" Brooks making his second octagon appearance at UFC 225 in June. Punk responded by dropping a hint about his next fight.

Punk, who lives in his native Chicago, immediately said he meant to fight again but has been relatively quiet since. After the ECW experiment ended, Punk's career took off as he would win a total of five world championships, including a 434-day reign with the WWE Championship in 2011.

OECD warns of trade war threat to global economic rebound
The OECD predicts the fastest world growth since 2011 this year, helped by USA tax cuts and spending in Germany. The projection for this year was revised up from 3.7 percent and that for 2019 from 3.6 percent.

Since the report of the fight came out a few weeks back, a tweet would then be put out there by Punk indicating that he is fighting at UFC 225, but an opponent was not mentioned.

Punk indicated on Twitter today that his second MMA fight will take place in his hometown of Chicago on Saturday, June 9th at UFC 225. But the most likely option has been the man who Gall defeated to get the fight with Punk, Mike Jackson who made his pro debut vs Gall.
