President Buhari Visits Benue, Says Govt Deeply Concerned About Attacks

Visiting President Muhammadu Buhari had a taste of the peoples' feelings towards him in Benue State today when he was told pointblank that the people of the state were not happy with him. "I am genuinely anxious about the attacks in Benue and we are doing everything to end them", he said.

He appealed to leaders of various groups in the state to convince their constituents that the Federal Government was doing its best to end the recurring attacks by armed herdsmen in various parts of the country.

Buhari stated this Monday during a meeting with major Benue stakeholders at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi when Governor Samuel Ortom informed him that the IGP did not relocated to Benue but came to state just day.
