YouTube Goes Dark on Mobile Devices

YouTube is finally giving its mobile app a dark theme, almost a year after the Google subsidiary introduced the night-friendly mode on desktop. Starting today, YouTube will be rolling out the Dark Mode feature to mobile devices beginning with iOS-powered smartphones and tablets.

SBI slashes monthly balance charges by 75 per cent
SBI's plan to reduce the minimum balance requirement reportedly comes after the negative news on the income generated on the fees. The charges at semi-urban and rural centres were also revised to Rs 20-40 from Rs 25-75, said an Economic Times report.

The feature debuted on the YouTube desktop client a year ago. Though the feature started as part of a limited test in April 2017, Dark Mode later rolled out to all YouTube users in May along with the site's Material Design visual overhaul. (The darker theme will come to Android "soon.") The feature, which is already available on desktop but pretty well hidden, lets you change the regular bright white theme to a more cinematic, black and grey look.

Marcus Rashford: Jose Mourinho's Man Utd training is where I'm learning most
I said that before the Liverpool match when many of you were maybe not expecting him to start. If he has one or two not good games, he puts him out. "I'm really happy with Marcus".

To activate the dark theme, head to the YouTube app settings and slide the little switch next to "dark theme" to the right ... and hey presto! The feature was heavily requested for mobile apps after the launch on desktop.

CM Punk I'm Fighting at UFC 225 ... & I'm Gonna Win!
It appears that former WWE Champion and current UFC welterweight fighter CM Punk is preparing for his next MMA bout. Punk, who lives in his native Chicago, immediately said he meant to fight again but has been relatively quiet since.

Dark mode has a few advantages. Set to roll out on iOS in the coming days, the dark theme (as it has been officially dubbed) turns all of the white space black and swaps the text from black to white. Apart from making it easier on the eyes in a dimly-lit setting, a dark mode can help you to better focus on content and potentially save a bit of battery life. Now, we know that it is on iOS and that it will soon be debuting on Android.
