Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov on Friday warned that the USA strikes on Syria "will not be left without consequences".

The Syrian foreign ministry said the US-led strikes would only "lead to inflaming tensions in the world" and threaten global security.

"We warned that such actions will not be left without consequences", he said. It said that "all responsibility" rests with Washington, London and Paris.
