Facebook will add AR doodles and Boomerang GIFs to Stories
Now, the Stories section on Facebook is getting boost as the giant is going to add AR doodles and Boomerange GIFs to the stories. In the coming days, you will be able to smartly use the Stories section of Facebook as you would be able to explore more of Facebook's Stories features through your mobile app.
Facebook has been pushing its Stories tool aggressively, despite a muted response from users. "We're testing new creative tools to bring pictures and videos to life, and introducing easier ways to find and share stories", a spokesperson from Facebook told TechCrunch. You will be amazed to see how this new AR doodles technology works on the Stories on your Facebook. Facebook also launched AR tracker target experiences which would trigger from QR codes or real-world posters. "That has prompted the social network to make Stories available to brands, to merge it with Messenger Day (yet another Snapchat-like feature) and to mull over the possibility of allowing users to create Stories on PC".

This time Mrs Kanye West added a note to her fans as she asked them to only post 'positive vibes'. The mother-of-three pans around to show some of her friends before explaining a new concern.
For the uninformed, Boomerang is a feature that loops videos back and forwards (hence the name) and have proven very popular with users of Instagram.
The other new addition is what Facebook calls "3D drawing" and is based on augmented reality. The company established brand partnerships for Facebook Stories in October a year ago and has also considered letting users create stories from the desktop website in the hopes of attracting more engagement.
Gmail may get a major update
Another feature from Inbox that's making its way to Gmail is the ability to snooze messages until a specific date and time. The new look, largely inspired by the recent update to its mobile app, will come with more Google Calendar integrations.
Apart from the new features, Facebook is also making the panel larger and adding a camera window in the status composer. As Facebook ramps up competition with the likes of Snapchat and Instagram, we can likely expect greater integration with AR in future updates.
