Campus police and New York State Police have been on campus, searching the area near the on-campus housing building Windham Hall.

A Binghamton University student died after he was stabbed on campus, university officials said on the Binghamton University Facebook page. University officials said they would release more information about the student's family was notified. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

A student was found stabbed to death at Binghamton University on Sunday night. Haley Anderson, 22, was a nursing student who was strangled to death at an off-campus residence on March 9, Pix11 News reported.
