A #SticksOutForHumboldt trend is continuing to sweep across the country and in the United States, as social media users are showing their support for victims of the Humboldt Broncos crash that killed 16 in Saskatchewan. Members of her family are Sudbury Wolves season ticket holders, and her husband has played hockey for many years.

"Last week, we had a national tournament here in Green Bay, so there's probably a bunch of teams, a bunch of buses that were all closely tied to this tragedy and they were travelling as well", says Officer Matt Knutson.

Many in the community have also left hockey sticks outside their front doors this week as part of the #SticksOutForHumboldt tribute, a way for Canadians to show their hearts are with the Humboldt community. "Anything you can do to show solidarity and support for those who lost those young lives, it just seems like the right thing to do", she said.

During the investigation, authorities learned that Lois Riess may have been at Diamond Jo Casino in Iowa. Authorities observed David Riess's human body inside his home with many gunshots.

He says his kids were touched by the tragedy in Canada.
