The weekend storm also left a foot or more of new snow in some area communities. Typical high temperatures now should be in the low 60s, but we're likely looking at upper 50s.

In the Twin Cities themselves, KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow said accumulations of 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible. West wind around 14 miles per hour.

The weather service said there is a slight chance of rain and snow Friday, with a high in the lower 50s. Expect a rather breezy day with southwest Montana seeing 20-25 miles per hour wind gusts this afternoon, while west central and northwest Montana could see winds gust around 30-35 miles per hour.

Cloudy, a chance of rain and snow showers and high temperatures in the upper 30s are in the forecast today for Auburn and Cayuga County. Snow-covered roads and limited visibility are possible in those areas. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52.

Wednesday - A chance of showers after 2 p.m. A few rain or snow showers may linger this evening and early on tonight, but expect a lot of the activity to fall apart once the sun goes down.

In lower MI, freezing rain that began falling overnight had left roads treacherous and cut power to hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses by midday Sunday.

Then, after the winter weather moves out Thursday, Barlow's forecast calls for partly-to-mostly sunny conditions and a high of 46. High pressure should continue to keep things dry and sunny into the start of next week as it slowly builds atop the region. West wind 15 to 18 miles per hour.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56. Have a great and safe rest of the week!
