Democratic Party sues Russia, Trump campaign and WikiLeaks alleging conspiracy

The Democratic National Committee has filed a law suit against the Trump campaign, Wikileaks, and the Russian government, alleging a conspiracy to disrupt the 2016 election.

Donald Trump's press secretary Sarah Sanders has conceded there may have been Russian meddling in the election, but denies the president had any knowledge of or involvement in it.

The multimillion-dollar lawsuit, first reported by The Washington Post, claims that the three parties worked together to prop up President Trump and kneecap his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"Rather than reporting Russia's offer to meddle in a USA election, the Trump campaign welcomed Russia's help", Perez claimed.

OH unemployment rate drops in March
The state unemployment rate decreased from 4.5 percent in February and was lower than the 5.1 percent rate in March 2017. The local unemployment rate held steady in March while the state rate dropped slightly compared with a year ago.

It also names Donald Trump Jr., Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Trump associate Roger Stone as defendants.

The lawsuit asserts that the Trump campaign "maintained secret communications with individuals tied to the Russian government, including one of the intelligence agencies responsible for hacking the DNC".

The Democrats' move adds to the legal and political complications for a President who has repeatedly dismissed charges of collusion of Russia and has accused the opposition of being sore losers, even though the United States intelligence community broadly concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered "an influence campaign" in 2016 with the goal of undermining public confidence in the U.S. democratic process and eroding Hillary Clinton's chances of winning the presidency.

The DNC claims that in the Trump campaign, Russian Federation "found a willing and active partner in this effort" to launch "a brazen attack on the 2016 election".

Texas firefighter praised for saving passenger on Southwest flight
Passengers described scenes of panic as a piece of shrapnel from the engine shattered a window, nearly sucking Ms Riordan out. The woman, who did not want to speak on camera, said she's "extremely proud" of her husband, who was not home at the time .

It concludes that 'while it is impossible to fully fix the harm caused by defendants (the DNC hopes to) hold the defendants accountable for their misconduct and to ensure transparency'.

"Russia then used this stolen information to advance its own interests: destabilizing the US political environment, denigrating Democratic presidential nominee, and supporting the campaign of Donald J. Trump ... whose policies would benefit the Kremlin". It seeks unspecified damages and an order to prevent further interference with DNC computer systems.

Russian Federation "mounted a brazen attack on American democracy", the DNC claims, alleging that thousands of documents and emails were extracted from DNC computers in the hack. The lawsuit outlines almost every known communication between Trump advisers and Russians.

It also charges Trump with "espousing pro-Russian and pro-Putin views".
