The consolidated revenue of the telecom major fell 5.4 per cent to Rs Rs 19,634 crore in Q4.

However, due to loss of 22,134 co-locations during the year on account of five operators ceasing to continue either on account of shutting down operations or merging with others, the financial results for the quarter showed lower growth rates on a Y-o-Y basis with Consolidated revenue growth at 4% YoY, consolidated EBITDA at 1%, consolidated EBIT as 2%, PAT at 2% and OFCF at -1%.

The country's biggest telecom operator said it has crossed 300 million mobile customer mark in India. "We intend to continue the rollout momentum next year as well", added Vittal. Consolidated EBITDA of the firm improved to Rs. 6,427 crore up 8% Y-o-Y, representing an operating margin of 44.4%.

Net Income after exceptional items for the quarter was Rs 83 crore compared to Rs 373 crore in Q4 fiscal 2018 and Rs 306 crore in Q3 fiscal 2018. Currently, Bharti Infratel and Vodafone India own 42 per cent each in Indus; the remaining stake belongs to Idea.

Airtel India said local India revenues fell 7.5 percent to Rs 14,796 crore primarily impacted by mobile drop of 13.5 percent.

Raghunath Mandava, MD and CEO of Africa said Airtel Africa's revenues grew by 10.7% on-year while data traffic grew 88% and voice minutes increased by 37%. "Airtel continued to consolidate its leadership position this quarter", said Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, India & South Asia.
