Doctors later told her that if she hadn't received medical attention after 30 more minutes, she would have bled to death. And they were able to accomplish this by growing her new ear on her body, using cartilage from Burrage's ribs to create the shape of the ear and then implanting it on her forearm.

For Burrage, she may have both her ears, but her recovery is not yet complete. It's being used to cover up scar tissue around the jawline, also resulting from the crash.

Burrage did not want to go through with the surgery because of the risks involved.

"It's been a lengthy procedure for every little thing, however I'm back", she claimed.
