Bad news, Metro fans: the release date for the upcoming Metro Exodus has been pushed back from fall 2018 to Q1 2019. Deep Silver is a division of THQ through Koch Media, with the statement saying the following that the publisher is "looking forward to Deep Silver's next key release, Metro Exodus, now expected in Q1 2019". They note that since this is the most ambitious Metro game in the series - and that they want it to be the best that it can be - they made a decision to move the release date back by a couple of quarters. We know that this will be disappointing news for fans that had hoped to play the game this year, but also know that you will appreciate the results that this additional development time and new release date will bring.

We will remind that Metro: Exodus was going to publish Deep Silver, which acquired the rights to the series from the bankrupt THQ.
