Children Living Amid Feces Were Tortured For 'Sadistic Purpose,' Police Say

Ten kids faraway from a dirty California house in late March have been waterboarded and hit with crossbows, amongst different violent acts, Solano County prosecutors stated Wednesday.

The mother of 10 children removed from her home by authorities, who allege that numerous children were subject to torture, was charged Wednesday with nine felony allegations of felony child abuse and was taken into custody.

A Fairfield mother accused of abusing her 10 children is now in jail after a court appearance on Wednesday.

Fairfield Police previously said they removed the 10 children from the Fairfield, California home on March 31 after responding to a report of a missing 12-year-old. Once they arrived, they immediately became concerned for the safety and health of the children and chose to search the property-that's when they discovered nine more children, "living in squalor and unsafe conditions".

Judge William J. Pendergast set bail for the 31-year-old Fairfield, California mother at $495,000, saying that she remains a danger to the children. Denying all allegations, Jonathan Allen claimed he's a peaceful man who is the "Indiana Jones of spirituality".

On the day the children were removed, the house was messy because she had just torn it apart looking for her missing son, who was angry because his parents had taken away his tablet computer, Rogers said.

Juarez wrote that Rogers dissuaded the children from reporting their injuries, which include broken arms, in order to protect Allen. The kids described "incidents of intentional abuse resulting in puncture wounds, burns, bruising and injuries consistent with being shot with a pellet gun or a BB gun", Hurlbut said. Father Jonathan Allen, 29, has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of torture and felony child abuse.

Allen denied being a Satanist in a jailhouse interview with local news station KCRA.
