At least two people have reportedly died following an accident involving a school bus and a dump truck on highway Route 80 near Mount Olive, New Jersey, on Thursday, May 17, according to NBC 4 NY.

The horror crash happened on Interstate 90 in Mount Olive, NJ., 50 miles west of New York City, with the fatality reported to have been an adult.

State police said that an unknown number of children were on the bus, but they didn't know how serious the injuries are.

The bus was carrying fifth grade students from East Brook Middle School in Paramus who were on a field trip to Waterloo Village, a historic site in New Jersey.
