United States offers to work with Europe on new Iran deal

Foreign ministers from Britain, France and Germany - signatories of the 2015 deal to stop Iran developing nuclear weapons - held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, amid concerns that the sanctions will also damage European business interests.

Pompeo was in Pyongyang on Tuesday when Trump made the announcement and senior State Department officials said the secretary will try to persuade allies in Europe, the Middle East and Asia to pressure Tehran to return to talks.

European officials have said they are looking for ways to help their companies escape the brunt of the USA sanctions.

President Barack Obama said the only alternative to the weak-kneed deal was war, and some Trump critics have said his abandonment of the deal could send Iran scurrying to get its nukes, something that would now take about a year as compared to maybe three months before the deal.

"We are going to put together a coalition that pushes back against not only Iran's nuclear program - which they still deny".

Thomas replaces Johnson as world number one
The new World No.1 hasn't missed an individual cut since The Open past year , and has a worse finish of T22 in 2018. Thomas was the victor of the Jack Nicklaus Award as the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the 2016-17 season.

The meeting comes amid fears that European companies may face reprisals from the USA for breaching American sanctions by continuing to operate in Iran.

"We are determined to ensure that the JCPOA stays in place", said Mogherini. "We see the same determination from the Iranian side".

In announcing his decision to withdraw the USA from the agreement, President Trump also ominously declared: "Any nation that helps Iran in its quest for nuclear weapons could also be strongly sanctioned by the United States". Indeed, trade between the U.S. and Iran is far less than trade with Antigua and Barbuda, one of the small Caribbean countries. That "can work in the short term, but it's very insane in the medium to long term".

Germany's minister for economic affairs, Peter Altmaier, said on Sunday that Berlin would try to "persuade the USA government to change its behaviour".

The Russian foreign ministry has expressed deep disappointment over Trump's "refusal to carry out [America's] commitments" under the 2015 accord.

Kent State graduate's photo with AR-10 goes viral
It is a tradition at many colleges for students to decorate their graduation caps with clever sayings and personal messages. Where do you stand? "But you don't see a lot going viral about students who are pro-second amendment and pro-gun rights".

According to Mogherini, the deal is capable of surviving without United States support as long as Iran continues to agree to stand by it. But no word has come from China as yet. "President Trump's withdrawal is aimed at denying them that wealth, denying them the resources to continue their bad behavior, to take the money away from them", he said. Absent that, Khamenei said Iran "won't stick to the nuclear agreement".

The White House said Trump had spoken with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday and "reiterated the need for a comprehensive deal that addresses all aspects of Iran's destabilising activity in the Middle East". It cited, for instance, Trump's earlier dumping of the Paris climate change agreement with a promise to provide a better deal that he hasn't fulfilled.

With Chancellor Angela Merkel warning that faith in the worldwide order is at stake, Germany, France and the United Kingdom are embarking on a diplomatic mission to salvage what they can of the accord, both to keep Iran on side and to shield European companies from U.S. sanctions that threaten billions of dollars of investment. "The circumstances I'm in now is that I'm the national security adviser to the president". "He is hopeful we can continue strong cooperation".

There has also been some influence by the Jewish organisations in the USA who, in the aftermath of President Trump's announcement, wasted no time in lobbying foreign embassies to support his stance. He has provided proximate proof that any deal the (US) makes, even a successful one, may be tossed aside on the whim of this or any other president. We couldn't reach agreement with our E3 partners.
