Actress Jameela Jamil, founder of the I Weigh social media campaign to end fat-shaming, was one of the first to criticise the 37-year-old reality TV star.

Posting (and then deleting, and then re-posting) an ad for Flat Tummy Co. appetite suppressant lollipop, Kardashian West showed herself sucking on a red lollipop with a caption touting the lollipops as "literally unreal" and urging her followers to buy one while they were 15 per cent off.

However, not everyone had positive things to say about the picture, of course.

In the past, Jameela has criticized other Instagram influencers for promoting weight-loss products like teas and lollipops.
