More details leak out about Microsoft's new "pocketable" Surface

Now, adding more fuel to the fire is Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of Devices and one of the heads behind Surface products, Panos Panay who took to Twitter on Friday and posted a picture (see below) thanking LG display for the caricature. It'll apparently have a foldable display and will fit in your pocket.

The Verge has now obtained an internal document which describes Andromeda as something which Microsoft has quietly incubated internally.

Microsoft is working on a foldable, pocket-sized Surface device that will offer dual touchscreens and the ability to make voice calls. Although there is a lot of anticipation around Andromeda - Microsoft debuted the concept initially as part of its Courier project almost a decade ago - Microsoft isn't the only one rumored to be working on dual-screened devices.

Bron: James agrees to 4-year contract with Lakers
While Julius Randle may be planning to leave the Los Angeles Lakers , the market may make another decision for him. James flew from the Caribbean island of Anguilla and landed in Van Nuys just after 11 a.m.

Microsoft goes on to say in the document that Andromeda will "blur the lines between mobile and stationary computing" and is destined to serve as a design prototype that will spur similar devices from other traditional OEMs.

Microsoft is also experimenting with stylus input for Andromeda so that the device can be folded over like a book and the pen can be used to capture input.

Microsoft is not the only company that is working on dual-screen/flexible display devices. It appears the company wants people to treat Andromeda as the next big rift in how we use pocket-sized computers.

Team Sky 'confident' Chris Froome will race in Tour de France
"Chris will ride the Tour", Froome's wife and representative Michelle Froome told Reuters on Sunday. But he is confident of being cleared of doping after an investigation.

For many, Andromeda is also seen as the long-rumoured Surface Phone, which would seem to jive with remarks from the leaked documents that claim Andromeda is Microsoft's response to its now defunct Windows Phone platform.

For Microsoft enthusiasts, today might be a rather auspicious day, indeed.

Are you thrilled for Andromeda?
