Jurgen Klopp has come out in defence of Loris Karius, claiming that concussion was to blame for his errors in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Karius had collided with Sergio Ramos prior to the mistakes and Liverpool clarified after the final that he had sustained concussion, though the statement did not mention the tangle with the Real captain.

"For me, it explains his performance one hundred percent", Klopp told assembled British media.
