This countdown can be reset by simply plugging in Apple's Lightning to USB 3.0 adaptor. It seems, however, that pressing matters may have forced Apple to nearly silently roll out its USB Restricted Mode feature in the new iOS 11.4.1 update.

With the lock in place, data cannot be transferred to or from the Lightning port; it can only be used for device charging. This means if you haven't turned the USB Accessories toggle on, and it has been more than an hour since your Apple device was locked, a USB accessory won't be able to communicate with your device. It also doesn't work if USB Restricted Mode has already been triggered (past the one-hour mark). The resetting of the built-in feature works even with an untrusted USB accessory, one that has never been paired with the device before.

George Clooney reportedly hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy
The A-list couple are believed to have brought their parents to the island to help care for the children while George works. Sardinia is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea and is over 500 miles from Clooney's villa in Lake Como.

Elcomsoft engineer Oleg Afonin noted that testing showed that once USB Restricted Mode kicks in, there is no obvious way to break it. USB Restricted Mode will be optional, of course; users can enable or disable it via their device's settings menu.

The iOS 11.4.1 upgrade is small by Apple standards - coming in at around 200MB - but it represents a big headache for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other organizations that want to gain access to someone else's phone because it kills off the most common route to bypassing the device's security.

Southgate invokes spirit of '66 as Lions feel history at their shoulder
A few days later, as England beat Sweden to make the semis, some rudimentary Photoshop skills in our Roundel Ramblings group , echoed the same sweet sentiment.

iOS 11.4.1 (and iOS 12) include new line of defence against a type of security hack aimed at brute-forcing access to iPhones and iPads. iPhone users running iOS 11.4 right now have been complaining in droves that battery life has suffered after the update. Law enforcement and private companies could leverage the loophole and design new hardware to continue to crack passcodes through the Lightning port.

Apple hasn't confirmed the once-every-ten-minute limits, but if true, that's a really big problem for companies like Grayshift ... and a really good thing for customers who just want their devices to be as secure as possible.

Iran to Remain in Syria to Keep 'Israel' Out
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that Israel would "not tolerate the Iranian military entrenchment in Syria". Israel has not acknowledged the incident, and says they do not respond to reports that emerged from foreign media.
