More than 200 people died in a major listeriosis outbreak in South Africa that was linked to Enterprise factories producing cold meats.

Australia has become caught up in a European food scare, with supermarkets across the country recalling bags of frozen vegetables over fears they may contain a deadly bacteria.

Foodstuffs, which owns New World and Pak'n'Save supermarkets, said they did not sell any of the affected products.
