Omarosa: 'I Was Complicit With This White House Deceiving This Nation'

Former White House aide and reality television participant Omarosa Manigault Newman played a recording in a TV interview on Sunday of her dismissal and indicated she had other recordings from her time in the Trump administration.

Manigault Newman told Todd that she made the recordings of conversations because "this is a White House where everybody lies" and "you have to have your back".

A former National Security Council spokesperson called it "unprecedented" and a serious breach of protocol.

In a combative appearance on NBC's "Today" show, Manigault Newman shared an audio recording of the phone conversation that she says she had with Trump the day after she was sacked from his administration.

Manigault Newman is appearing on the show to promote her new book, "Unhinged", which will be released next week.

Ms Manigault Newman said in the book that she had not personally heard the recording, but that pollster Frank Luntz had heard the President use the racial slur.

Apple in a statement confirmed that it has reappointed Field, however, it denied to provide any information regarding this role. At the time, Musk stated in a tweet, "My job as CEO is to focus on what's most critical, which is now Model 3 production".

"Wow", Ms. Manigault Newman said.

"Donald Trump, who would attack civil rights icons and professional athletes, who would go after grieving black widows, who would say there were good people on both sides, who endorsed an accused child molester; Donald Trump, and his decisions and his behavior, was harming the country".

The author says she now regards Kelly's phrasing as a "very obvious" threat that justifies her secretly recording the meeting.

"Had I not recorded this, everyone would say she has a credibility issue", she said. The reason given was to protect White House "security systems".

Ms Newman effectively threw a hand grenade by claiming - without evidence - that she had heard a tape of Mr Trump using racist language against African-Americans.

Manigault Newman worked in the White House for almost a year as an assistant to the president and the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

Having already leaked a snippet of her dismissal by Kelly, she's now revealing a clip in which her former Apprentice co-star Trump bemoans her departure.

"They continue to deceive this nation by how mentally declined he is", she said, "how hard it is for him to process complex information".

"What I can tell you is the thought of doing something like that to a fellow employee, not to mention the leader of the free world, is completely disgraceful", he said. "I was complicit in it, for that I regret".

'But when he talks that way, the way he did on this tape, it confirmed that he is truly a racist'.

She says it proves stories that she had to be dragged out of The White House during that XMAS party in December, 2017 were false. Omarosa was best known for her appearances on " The Apprentice " and its sister shows starring then-businessman Donald Trump .
