John Legend Just Became The Youngest Person Ever To Achieve EGOT Status

Winning an Emmy tonight for for best variety special for NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar, Live in Concert," the musician now has an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. In 2012, legendary actor, James Earl Jones added an honorary Oscar to his EGOT status, but because it doesn't count as an official win, it means he isn't counted among official EGOTers.

John Legend just made history as the youngest person and the first black male to secure an EGOT, according to Variety.

What's more, he's also the first black man to take home all four trophies.
