Harvey Weinstein Accuser Releases Footage Of Him Groping Her

One of the women accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape has released an unsettling video from a business meeting she once had with him.

Sky News obtained the video of a 2011 meeting at The Weinstein Company offices in Manhattan between Weinstein and Melissa Thompson, who worked for a tech startup at the time and was pitching him an analytics product. In her jury seeking action, Thompson says that Weinstein raped her later than day in a almost hotel.

Speaking to Sky News about the ordeal, Thompson said Weinstein was an artist at his craft, and delicately caused confusion, unrest and discomfort in a situation in which he had power.

The meeting gets off to an bad start as Weinstein brushes away a handshake and embraces Thompson in a hug, making long strokes down her back and saying "That's nice'".

It also shows her joking about his advances, saying that "data is hot".

He said, "What they shared with us, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties".

Watch out: Prince William's new mental health initiative
William , 36, wants a "big shift in working culture" to ensure dealing with mental health is a part of the everyday working life. Previous research by Mind revealed that one in three employers did not know where to look for guidance on mental health issues.

Thompson said Wednesday that she was trying to "save face" at first during the meeting.

"Defendant moves to dismiss the indictment or counts thereof on various grounds of alleged defect or deficiency in the presentation of the matter to the grand jury", said Cyrus Vance Jr's office on Wednesday in a response to a sprawling and politically charged August 3 motion to dismiss from Weinstein's primary attorney Ben Brafman. "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?" he can be heard saying.

Thompson, then 28, responds: "Ummm we'll see, a little bit". If he made a comment, I would try to catch it and return it in a way that felt a little safer than the way he threw it at me. She ended up in Weinstein's hotel room, where Weinstein raped her despite her attempts to get away, Thompson alleged. At one point, he appears genuinely interested in using her service, instructing her to tell her boss to sign him up.

At the end of the footage, Weinstein invites Thompson for a drink a few hours later at the Tribeca Grand Hotel (now called The Roxy). I constantly felt trapped, no matter where I turned.

"We believe that the People's response in its entirety makes it absolutely clear that the case against Mr. Weinstein can not be successfully prosecuted", said Brafman in a statement to Deadline. She told Sky News she was expecting that this would be a follow-up meeting to close the deal.

Thompson also rejected critics who said she encouraged Weinstein's behavior. "It was produced by Ms. Thompson to bolster her position in a civil lawsuit seeking money".
