Modern Family to kill off 'significant' character

Lloyd remained secretive on which character fans would be saying goodbye to and wouldn't confirm if the death would be of a main family member. For a moment, I thought that Lloyd might simply be trying to get free promotion, and that the doomed one would wind up being a minor character.

Major things are happenings on Modern Family.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin spotted at NY Marriage Bureau
The couple became engaged earlier in the summer, but haven't talked about wedding plans publicly yet. We've got the exciting details.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, co-creator Christopher Lloyd said the show is "handling some bigger life events" in season 10, including a death. The show stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vegara, Ariel Winter, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Nolan Gould, Ed O'Neill and Rico Rodriguez. Or Claire and Mitchell's mother, DeDe, played by Shelley Long? That would open up the possibilities of the dead, but would the show really kill off a main character? I say do it, Modern Family!

Death, Lloyd added, "is certainly a topic that families have to deal with, and on television, it's not easy to do because that's a heavy subject". The character last appeared in Season 9's "Mother".

American Voters Favor Dems by 14 Points
Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,038 voters nationwide from September 6 to 9, with a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points. Trump's overall approval rating was the lowest in the polls by CNN, ABC News/Washington Post, and IBD/TIPP at 36 percent.

At the time, Lloyd went on to explain that they were now discussing how they want the final moments of the show to go, saying that things will ideally end the way they began - with a big family event. In the Season 4 finale episode, "Goodnight, Gracie", the Dunphy family flew to Florida to mourn the death of Phil's mother, a character viewers had never met.

As if that tease wasn't tantalizing enough, there's still the open question of whether or not "Modern Family" will be renewed for an 11th season, or if it will end after its contract expires with this 10th outing.
