No details have been revealed about who the passenger is and why they're flying, but SpaceX said it would reveal all on Monday.

Musk announced in February 2017 that his company had enlisted two private citizens to fly on a trip around the Moon in 2018.

SpaceX announced it has signed the world's first private passenger to fly around the Moon aboard the company's BFR launch vehicle.

But during a Falcon Heavy press conference earlier this year, Musk told reporters that, for the time being, SpaceX had no plans to certify the Falcon Heavy for human spaceflight.

Marcus Rashford 'to fight for Manchester United place'
As a former striker himself, Lineker has seen Rashford's stagnating development at Manchester United through sympathetic eyes. The problem for Rashford, and Southgate, is that he is not getting to play in his best position at United.

But when one of Musk's fans asked him who would be taking part in the mission, the billionaire tweeted out an emoji of the Japanese flag, sparking speculation that a Japanese billionaire was planning to make the flight.

Ever wondered who owns the moon?

It would be humanity's first lunar visit since 1972. Its design was first presented almost a year ago, and the concept boasted a single system that included a booster and a ship that could travel to the moon and Mars.

SpaceX now has a $1.6 billion contract with NASA to supply the astronauts living at the ISS, via regular cargo trips on its Dragon spaceship, launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket.

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to 'plead guilty'
The developments were first reported by ABC News, which said details of the deal would be announced in court on Friday. A pre-trial conference scheduled in federal court in Washington , D.C., for 11 a.m.

During a speech in Australia previous year, Musk said he was hopeful that the BFR would be able to launch and land at last two cargo ships on Mars by 2022.

SpaceX has established its bona fides in the aerospace business by transporting supplies to the International Space Station and by completing the tricky maneuver of recovering rockets after launch so that they can be reused.

"I feel fairly confident that we can complete the ship and launch in about five years", Musk said.
