Year Old Man Threatens to Kill Child After Losing in Fortnite

An 11-year-old child is being protected from a 45-year-old gamer, who police say threatened the boy's life after losing to him in the wildly popular online video game "Fortnite".

A 45-year-old guy in NY was arrested on Monday night after he lost a game of "Fortnite" to an 11-year-old boy and threatened to go to his school and SHOOT HIM.

With 125 million global players, Fortnite has become a cultural phenomenon, and, police say, highly addictive and overly competitive for some, including a Huntington man by the name of Michael Aliperti.

"For an adult to threaten an 11-year-old kind of gives new definition to sore loser". Police Chief of Department Stuart Cameron said authorities found a plastic pellet gun in the home.

Aliperti was arraigned on aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child charges. Cameron said there was an increased police presence at the boy's school.

"We took this as a school threat", Cameron told the newspaper. 'That was done out of an abundance of caution'.
