"We're so happy to announce that we've reached a deal with [Telltale Games] that will allow Skybound to continue the Walking Dead: The Final Season!".

Although the terms of the deal are still being ironed out, Skybound has confirmed that members of the original development team will be brought back to finish the project. The heartbreaking layoff of the Telltale staff meant that Clementine's story would not have an ending, and fans would be left in the air about the future of the Telltale protagonist.

It's confirmed: OnePlus 6T is set for official launch on this date

Nobody could have imagined that the name of The Walking Dead: The Final Season would be quite so accurate but although it'll end up being the last Telltale game of any kind, it will at least be properly completed. Kirkman said just days ago at NYCC that he wasn't yet concerned with having to finish the story via his long-running comics because he was hopeful the games could still do that. More than 200 people lost their jobs at Telltale, and a portion of them were working on The Walking Dead.

IGN reports that The Walking Dead original creator Robert Kirkman originally made the announcement during a panel at the New York Comic-Con yesterday.

Kirkman stated, "We've successfully negotiated with Telltale Games for our company Skybound to come in and see Season 4 of the Telltale game to completion". Rick Grimes' final season kicks off tomorrow night on AMC.
