‘Pet Sematary’ trailer: Stephen King adaptation looks fur-raising

The trailer starts off with suggesting, "sometimes dead is better" before unfolding the events of the scariest tale from the author.

Just within the past year or so, there have been new adaptations of a number of King's works, including It, The Dark Tower, Gerald's Game, and 1922, plus an original TV show set in King's world, Castle Rock.

Paramount Pictures just released the first horrifying trailer for the new adaptation of King's classic novel Pet Sematary, in which a family moves into a new home near a cemetery that can resurrect the dead.

Of course both movies are based on the horror novel by Stephen King.

The official synopsis: Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural ME, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family's new home. This time around, a young actress named Alyssa Brooke Levine will take on the role of Zelda, and directors Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch have promised that their take on the character will be more faithful to the source material.
