Police said they found 11 bodies of infants and stillborn babies stored in a cardboard box and a small casket hidden in a lowered ceiling at the Cantrell Funeral Home. "They were in a cardboard box stuffed away from a stairwell".

The horrors inside the old Cantrell Funeral Home had been cleansed in the spring, people thought.

An autopsy report from the Wayne County Medical Examiner is forthcoming, however police do have some of the infants' names and are attempting to locate family members, according to Det.

Police were called around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
