French authorities have opened an investiagation into possible match fixing in the UEFA Champions League tie between Paris Saint Germain and Red Star Belgrade, which ended 6-1 in favour of the Ligue 1 side.

According to L'Equipe, French authorities started investigating the fixture after receiving a tip-off from Uefa.

But days before the match, UEFA received a tip off that a senior official at Red Star Belgrade, who has not been identified, along with accomplices, were ready to place a mega bet on their outfit to lose heavily.
