Lamar Patterson, left, plays with Steven Adams at the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.

Patterson's French bulldog Kobe travelled in the basketball import's hand luggage on Thursday and went undetected before entering quarantine at Brisbane Airport. He's since been released but his pooch remains in quarantine and will be returned to the United States on Friday, the Department of Agriculture said.

Lamar Patterson was detained by custom officials and released on Thursday, but his pooch Kobe is still waiting for freedom after being put in quarantine. "It was a miscommunication with the airlines".

Lamar Patterson arrived at Brisbane Airport Thursday from Los Angeles, carrying his French Bulldog Kobe who sat in a dog carrier at his feet for the duration of the 14-hour flight.

Arizona woman injured in crash survives for days before being rescued
The woman recounted how she was driving on USA 60 on October 12 when she lost control of her vehicle , according to the trooper. She walked toward the area's railroad tracks hoping to be found, but didn't make it due to her condition, the report said.

Bullets coach Andrej Lemanis said there had been "some confusion" as Patterson had asked U.S. airport officials about traveling with his pet.

"Dogs imported to Australia must be accompanied by a valid import permit, and have undergone relevant testing and health checks signed off by a government veterinarian from the exporting country".

"When he got to the airport, he asked if he could take his dog and the response was yes and it was even on his boarding pass that he was travelling with his dog".

"I guess in his defence, we should take some responsibility".

"When he got to [Los Angeles International Airport] no-one said anything to him".
