It then cuts to Fred Savage, who is annoyed to be tied to a bed in what looks like his childhood room, but is really his characters room from the movie The Princess Bride, a movie in which Fred's character gets told a story by his grandfather and the action of the film comes back to the bedroom at the end. Fans can also expect new footage "in the form of a framing sequence" in the revamped film that Ryan Reynolds and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick devised for the project.

The Princess Bride motif has an unexpected and bittersweet aspect to it now since that 1987 fairy-tale masterpiece was written by the great William Goldman, who died Thursday at age 87.

The film's trailer also has a reference to Disney-Pixar's Up and a pretty harsh joke about Fox's Marvel movies.
