Donald Trump will attend the funeral of former United States president George H W Bush on Wednesday, capping days of public praise for the Bush family and ending a feud that has simmered at the heart of the Republican Party for years.

He was the father of former President George W. Bush, who served two terms in the White House in the 2000s, and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who unsuccessfully sought the 2016 Republican nomination for president.

Bush, who died Friday at age 94, was president from 1989 to 1993.
