Meghan Markle found herself at the centre of a right royal gaffe this week as the National Theatre accidentally announced her patronage hours ahead of Kensington Palace.

They reflect the causes and issues with which she has always been associated with including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare.

Two of the patronages, The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities, have been passed on to Meghan by the Queen, who has held the roles for 45 and 33 years respectively.
