The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of south central Iowa, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.

Light snow accumulation appears possible north and west of Raleigh with amounts ranging from a dusting to as much as 2 inches, the highest possibly near the Virginia border. However, we'll likely make up for a good bit of that snow by the weekend. "Temperatures will be close to freezing and that will help with road treatments and being able to melt snow".

If you have any travels tonight or tomorrow you will want to give yourself extra time, patience, and caution.
