Pandya is more of a white ball specialist as a pace bowling all-rounder and it remains to be seen if the Indian team management decides to include him in the playing XI in the face of widespread controversy over his alleged sexist and crass remarks on a television talk show.

The India vs Australia ODI series will be beamed live on the Sony Pictures Network.

Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were on Friday suspended pending an inquiry into their outrage-evoking comments on women during a TV show, ruling them out of the ODI series against Australia starting Saturday.

Pandya and Rahul, who are both in Sydney with India's one-day squad, have found themselves in hot water over comments made during an episode of Koffee with Karan, hosted by the Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, that aired on Sunday in India.

Nicolas Derely wrote in a Facebook post that he was with his family skiing on January 2 when his son's friend injured his knee. The man was left writhing in pain after dislocating his knee while skiing in the Pass of Anterne with some friends.

Inappropriate comments have cast a shadow over India's Test celebrations and ODI preparations, with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul facing suspension amid a sexism scandal.

Holding back on the team announcement, Kohli pointed that since a decision regarding the two cricketers is awaited, India will have to re-think the team combination heading into the first ODI in Sydney on Saturday. Pandya, who was certain to make a comeback into the team after almost four months, will have to wait for the same now.

"From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don't support", Kohli told reporters.

In the bowling department, Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the ODI series against both Australia and New Zealand.

‘Criminal Minds’ to End After 15 Seasons
Variety reports the show is now shooting Season 14, which consists of fifteen episodes. Criminal Minds , one of television's longest-running procedurals, is coming to an end.

Rahul, perhaps, was unlikely to get a go anyway partly due to his poor form as well as the presence of a well-settled opening pair in Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Jadhav, MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu will form the middle order, and there will be keen interest in the latter duo's form here. The worrying aspect is Dhoni's strike-rate of 71.42, which is remarkably lower than his ODI career strike-rate of 87.89.

The 1st ODI between India and Australia will be played on January 12, 2019.

There is a difference of 28.06 between India's top-order (1-3) and middle-order (4-7), the biggest among all the teams in the last two years in ODIs.

With 38 centuries under his belt, Kohli's numbers as a captain are nothing short of stunning.
