Cancer cure in a year, scientists claim

- Scientists in Israel announced this week that a cure for cancer was possible within the year.

Aridor, meanwhile, said it will work from "Day 1" and will cause "no or minimal side effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments".

He said, "the key to the success of this research is apparently the focus of this experimental treatment approach on several abnormalities in cancer cells at the same time, limiting the ability of the cancer cell to change its genetic pattern and become resistant to typical treatments".

Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies (AEBi) claims to use peptides, a chain of amino acids, to target and kill cancer cells.

Man Utd in talks with Chinese club over Marouane Fellaini
Fellaini was David Moyes's sole major signing in the summer 2013 window and has struggled to be accepted by some United fans. The name of the club concerned has not been revealed but the Chinese transfer window does not close until 28 February.

"I mean, I'd love there to be a cure for cancer, but I do not believe them in the absence of good human evidence", he said.

"We make sure the treatment is not affected by the mutations", he said. "Our solution will be both generic and personal".

"The probability of having multiple mutations that would modify all targeted receptors simultaneously decreases dramatically with the number of targets used", he continued. "Not even cancer can mutate three receptors at the same time".

He added: "My colleagues here at American Cancer Society tell me phage or peptide display techniques, while very powerful research tools for selecting high affinity binders, have had a hard road as potential drugs". The drug can, according to its makers, destroy stem cells and reach diseased tissues previously impossible to target. Morad noted that ghastly physical side-effects of these medicines are experienced as a result of the drugs interacting with the wrong or additional targets, often wiping out healthy, non-cancerous cells.

WWE Announces Return of Halftime Heat
The show will air during halftime at the Super Bowl on the WWE Network , , Facebook , Twitter , and YouTube. One is they will tape it this Thursday at the WWE NXT T.V taping, which to me makes the most sense.

The company, however, has only tested the treatment in mice so far and it can take six to seven years to bring cancer drugs from "mouse to market", even when drugmakers receive special permissions from US regulators to speed drug development, Les Funtleyder, health-care portfolio manager at E Squared Capital Management, told CNBC.

The drug has been tested in mice which has shown success and is nearing the clinical trial stage, according to Aridor.

Chief executive Dr Ilan Morad told the newspaper the treatment, named MuTaTo, will one day be personalised to each individual patient where specific cocktails of drugs will be administered depending on the type of cancer each patient has.

In an interview, AEBi board chairman Dan Aridor sounded optimistic about bringing the drug to market.
