Windows 10 will now automatically uninstall borked updates

As described by Microsoft, the Windows Update Catalog is created to provide updates for all now supported operating systems, providing users with access to device drivers, hotfixes, updated system files, service packs, and new Windows features downloads.

When this happens, a notification will pop up explaining that Windows 10 has removed some "recently installed updates to recover your device from a startup failure".

To ensure that your device can start up and continue running as expected, Windows will also prevent problematic updates from installing automatically for the next 30 days.

Saudi women forgets baby at the airport
The woman is said to have realised that the baby wasn't with her after take off and alerted the cabin crew of the same. In a video that is going viral, the pilot is seen requesting permission to head back to the airport.

When Windows detects that this is happening, it will resolve this issue by attempting to uninstall the problematic update.

Of course, Windows Updates should be fixing problems, not creating them, which is probably why Microsoft has very quietly rolled out this feature. Many Windows 10 users will have experienced startup problems after installing an update to the operating system, and this is something that Microsoft is looking to address. It's worth noting that Microsoft performs this step only when it's done with all the other possible recovery methods.

Updates removed in the process will be blocked for 30 days automatically to avoid the issue from happening again. Microsoft says that this will give time for software developers to investigate what may have been causing the problems and then issue a fix.

As an extra security measure, Microsoft will further stop Windows from downloading updates for the next 30 days.

We've all been through this dejecting situation; and as it turns out, you could be experiencing it again if you update your system to the latest OS update from Microsoft.

In case you like living life on the edge, you can still download the updates manually by using the link given in the support document.
